We encourage all children to worship with their families. However, during the service children 3 years old to 2nd grade are welcome to K.I.D.S. (Kids In Divine Service) Worship in the Fellowship Hall.

5. June 1 is Promotion Sunday! Please join us after 2nd service for a time of food, fun and fellowship as we celebrate our graduates. Information tables will be set up for 2nd graders entering adult worship & 4th graders entering Youth Ministry.

7. Thank you Jim and Elaine for your love and devotion that you have given all these year. On May 18 Children’s Ministry will host a reception at 9:30 in the Fellowship Hall for Jim and Elaine Hoffmann in appreciation. Jim & Elaine have taught Sunday school for various grades and Elaine has been on the Children’s Ministry Team for many years. The Hoffmann’s will be moving to Bedford, Indiana to be closer to family.
8. Help us reach our GOOOOAL!! Jessica, Nathan, Camryn, Luke and A.J. Silva are sponsoring a soccer ball collection for the kids of Iraq. The collection will take place throughout the month of May. A donation box for balls and a coin basket will be located in the CM wing. Would like to collect new soccer balls of all sizes, air pumps, & inflation needles. John Silva currently stationed near Baghdad can distribute the equipment.

Attention all Home Groups: Thanks to all the Home Groups who have signed up to serve dinner one night during VBS! A menu and instructions will be sent to each group in June. If you have any further questions please contact Ellen Miller or Laura Helvie.
We are collecting supplies for crafts, games, dramas and decorations for Vacation Bible School. Look for the donation board in the lobby. Please place all donated supplies in the Fellowship Hall on the designated table by May 25, we will begin preparing all the supplies for VBS beginning the last week of May.
Summer Sunday School is right around the corner, June 1 to be exact. During the summer we give our dedicated teachers who teach during the school year a much deserved break. We are looking for 4 volunteers per Sunday to teach. Lessons plans will be written ahead of time, easy to follow, and mailed out the week you are to serve. See Laura or JoEllen Read to sign up.
Young at Heart Ministry (at The Hearth) will be Wednesday, May 14 from 4-5 pm. Parents may bring and pick up their children ages kindergarten-4th grade in the lobby of The Hearth for our monthly activity. This month we will be watching Disney’s Alvin and the Chipmunks in the theatre room. This will be our last activity until Sept. 2008. Call Laura if you have any questions.
